Toro Nagashi is a Japanese tradition of releasing floating lanterns onto the surface of the water. It is a deeply symbolic ritual, where the lanterns have special meaning as a memorial to the victims of the atomic bombs of 1945. Each floating lantern is a silent but powerful prayer and message of peace that spreads from these cities to the whole world. The inscription "The threat remains" - "the threat persists" carries a silent message and a request to try to resolve conflicts diplomatically, through negotiations, not through the destructive power of bombs, including these atomic ones.

The coin comes with a numbered certificate.
