The color scheme is accented with typically Japanese colors. Limited to 80 pieces. The 80th anniversary of this horrific event invites us to reflect on whether the world has changed in terms of armaments and the desire for power, or vice versa.

1 oz HIROSHIMA "NEVER FORGET" American eagle 2025 coloured

The folding of origami cranes in Hiroshima is deeply connected to the story of Sadako Sasaki and has become a global symbol of peace and hope. Sadako Sasaki was a Japanese girl who survived the atomic bomb explosion in Hiroshima but later died of leukemia caused by radiation. While in the hospital, she learned of a legend that if she folded 1,000 paper cranes, her wish of recovery would come true. Sadako folded over 1,300 cranes, but her wish was not granted and she died at the age of 12.

The coin comes with a numbered certificate.

Since the coins are an altered version of the original product, they are no longer legal tender and are in no way affiliated with the United States Mint.
