With a limited mintage of only 500,000, this coin has the lowest mintage in the history of Silver Eagles, combined with the MintDirect® Premier and PCGS FirstStrike® label for additional collector appeal.
Struck from sterling silver, these beautifully crafted coins feature the Walking Liberty design by Adolph A. Weinman on the obverse. With the flag wrapped around him, Walking Liberty continues to lead the country to freedom alongside the beloved bald eagle that soars high on the reverse of the coin.
The side of the coin with a bald eagle holding an olive branch in its talons is equally attractive to collectors. This side of the coin was designed by the famous designer Emily Damstra, the engraver was and the engraver of the casting to create the die was Master M. Gaudioso, who will forever be associated with this new stage in the collection of the American Eagle and is the author of other coins in the coin collections of the United States Mint.
Each coin is 40.6mm in diameter and 2.98mm thick. For collecting purposes, we recommend placing it in a plastic capsule with a diameter of 41 mm.
