An elaborate and functional display of craftsmanship, this limited edition collector's piece will add a functional sundial to your coin collection.

It is adorned with a rhodium-plated brass gnomon that, when placed against the sun and in the direction of true north, casts an oblique shadow on an elaborately engraved 99.99% pure silver base that indicates the local solar time.

Want to use a coin as a sundial? Place it on a flat surface in direct sunlight with the gnomon pointing north. Note where the outer edge of the shadow is located and this should indicate the approximate local solar time. (As with all sundials, some additional adjustments may be necessary due to longitude and time of year.)

Supplied in a case, together with a certificate of authenticity.
