Minted from 2 ounces of antique sterling silver, this special coin celebrates the iconic bird known to the Nyoongar people as "kaa kaa."
The background consists of colored dots - shades of blue representing the morning, day and evening sky; green indicates leaves during the Djeran season (April/May) and brown during the Kambarang, Birak and Bunuru (October/March) seasons. The design includes the mintmark 'P125', which marks the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint and the year 2024.
The coin is accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity and is housed in a modern latex case in a beautifully illustrated transport box based on an original artwork by Kevin Bynder.
